About Messier 42
Messier 42 builds the identity and security layer for modern defense and critical infrastructure systems.
We focus on a problem most systems still get wrong: how machines decide what to trust. In environments that span clouds, classifications, and organizational boundaries, identity—not network location—is the foundation of security.
Our work enables trusted system-to-system communication in distributed and contested environments. Building on the shift from host-based trust to workload identity, we extend that model beyond the datacenter into cross-boundary, heterogeneous, and adversarial conditions.
Quantum Helix combines workload identity, hardware-backed attestation, and post-quantum cryptography so that only verified systems can interact, policy is enforced at the point of exchange, and every interaction can be proven.
We apply this approach to hard operational problems including disrupted and delay-tolerant networks, message-level protection for coalition and cross-domain data exchange, secure over-the-air updates, and ruggedized edge systems fielded in austere environments.
Messier 42 is an engineering-led company built to make high-assurance systems practical—so mission-critical software can move faster without losing control, integrity, or trust.
